Chapter Two

The master in the three piece suit, there was no religion no hidden agenda and no cult.

He said it was their life’s journey and had been for many years, as the words came out the Master spoke sharply and fast to Kenzo stopping him in his chat with me.

Yemon he said, the Master would like you to know we have indeed met before and will continue to meet again in the future, in another country and in another time.

Kenzo stood up and finally introduced his Master, Yemon San! standing up nearly as fast as he did, may I introduce you to my Sensei Jimmu! we both faced each other and gave the traditional Japanese bow.

Yemon san, Jimmu said in broken English, we have traveled to many places and through many periods, it is our life quest to venture out in the world to better understand who we are and why we are here.

You are a part of that, a part of our quest to satisfy those who sent us on this journey in the first place.

With those words he sat down and Kenzo continued the story, I sensed it was a long story and looking into their weary eyes and the way they talked it could not have taken place in the short time that their bodies said their age`s were, somewhere I estimated at around 40 years for Kenzo and 60 years for Jimmu.

There was something not right in the tiny little hut on this small island off the mainland of Japan.

I could not prepare myself for the words that were coming into my head, my mind was been opened by some force, I could see Kenzo and Jimmu in a time long gone by, walking along ancient paths and stopping at the occasional ryokan to sleep and freshen up.

Sitting at the old drink carts littering the dusty highways of time, where to buy one cha allowed for the use of the four seats made available by the cart owner, who himself was busily heating the pot in the hope of another sale.

So strange to see them looking then as they do now, i continued to watch them in my mind’s eye, always walking always chatting to someone here or someone there, sometimes I see them sleeping after such a long walk in the day on those dusty roads, I should say relaxing rather than sleeping!  lying in their rooms on those hard tatami mats heads facing the ceiling.

As I watched and feeling like I was invading their privacy, I noticed a third person in the room, not really a person but someone or something that can use that form to communicate with.

Jimmu the image said in a soft feminine voice “Jimmu” it said again slightly louder, as Jimmu opened his eyes slowly and pulled himself up to the sitting position, he smiled with the biggest smile I had seen for many years, I could see a drop of water running down from both eyes “Chiyoko” it has been so long!

Yes Jimmu, time has nearly caught us and soon your journey will be over. But! First Jimmu who is this? We have a guest!

I looked around the room to see who else was there but saw no one,

Hello Yemon san! Jimmu said with a big smile.

How can this be I thought, I am in Japan sure, but in Matsuyama and in the 20th century not the 10th century or thereabouts.

“Yemon san” Jimmu said as he stood up and walked towards me, please you must meet Chiyoko she is my Sensei!

Your sensei I asked? yes from a long time ago in another time and another place.

Chiyoko please meet Yemon san, with this Chiyoko moved towards me and in one instant appeared transformed into an elegant young lady, dressed in a beautiful blue kimono with small lines of gold trim edges and beautiful big eyes certainly not Japanese but maybe European of some kind, how, I thought to myself, how could this person be Sensei?

Yemon san Chiyoko said, your thoughts are our thoughts you do as we do, but you have forgotten the journey.

You are not Japanese Chiyoko, I said in my not too sure voice; no I am from a long lost civilization of a thousand centuries ago, lost in time and in man`s memory, a time that will one day return but only with the help of a special few.

You have seen Jimmu and Kenzo as they travel through this vast land and other lands to come, but however vast those lands are; nothing is compared to the vast times they have traveled to get there.

We have managed to travel through time not as immortals but as holders of knowledge, the knowledge to bend time and its many dimensions, we have been guarding the Chishiki.

But we cannot travel if we have no one to pass our knowledge onto, it is our law, Kenzo is the holder of the “Chishiki” or knowledge in your language, knowledge from a forgotten time waiting to be released when a new consciousness has been born, and when that happens it will be time for the Chishiki to be placed.

Jimmu and Kenzo are in your time to do this and to find this one person to pass on the Chishiki, although it can be stored somewhere, it cannot be left alone for more than a thousand years or it begins to develop different qualities to those qualities that make us all humans.

If this happens it will begin a new age for humanity and the Chishiki will become either male or female and begin the next millennium as a new creator of a new and advanced race.

A race that it alone will control!

“We must ensure that this does NOT happen and that Humanity continues its direction”

The thousand years are already upon us and the time is running out, we must act now or it will be free to do as it pleases.

Yemon san! we are your thoughts when you need to know something, we can offer this too you but you must make the decision to accept them and follow them yourself, the same as everyone else.

The difference is your journey has also spanned the millennium and you are at a stage where you can tap into our “Chishiki”.

This is very rare and we have allowed you to travel back to us now to find where your journey started, and too better understand the future.
If you do not understand the past how can you understand the future?

Does everyone get this chance I asked? Feeling like I’m jumping into something out of a sci-fi movie!
No! Resounded the answer from both Chiyoko and Jimmu simultaneously.

Unless people have achieved certain levels of what you called “Satori” they will not be able to connect their consciousness with ours.

All is not as it seems and you, like us will encounter those that have been driven to make sure the “Chishiki” does not survive to its next stage.

From three feet way I could see Chiyoko begin to raise her hands and bringing them together making a light humming noise; I know that noise from somewhere I said a little excited at least something was familiar.

Yes it is the sound of knowledge, the sound of “Chishiki” Chiyoko said. It is the sound of the Universe telling us to listen and learn.

Sit down here Yemon san, jimmu said as he placed a small cushion on the floor, we must show you something to take back and search for us.

With that I was shown five signs that will allow “Chishiki” to find its home, they will only be noticeable by searching across the World for those of the “APSU” “one who has been from the beginning” from these five, one will come forth and become the next “Chishiki”.

If he is not found and joined together then “Chishiki” will be able to transform itself, something that has not happened for five hundred thousand years.

The five “APSU” know of your search, they will show you who is to join the “Chishiki” we will always be with you, however we must continue with our travels in the different times to begin the training of those that will be there to help you.

There are discoveries in your time that will guide you through the lands, Chiyoko has a gift for you, you will know it’s there but cannot touch it; it will connect with you when you are closer to any of the “APSU”
.
The whistle of the train was the next sound I heard, and the friendly smile of Kenzo and Jimmu as they motioned for me to follow them onto the carriage, as we sat there I felt they know more about me than anyone could possible know, but that information spanned a millennium and was carefully guarded by these guides that travel the long road of time.

My station was next, and I knew Kenzo and Jimmu had to continue their dual existence so we said our farewells and wished each other a safe trip; I was beginning to think of how surreal this experience was and how unbelievable it sounded.

Maybe it was just a dream I thought, until I heard the “Yemon san Chiyoko is with you” over the voices of those around me.

No it was no dream, I had been given some work to do and there was no time to waste.

Cutting short my training trip to Japan, I started in earnest to work out stage one of a plan I had not planned for, who were the “APSU”?

How can I find them if I don`t know where to look. So I settled back into training at my dojo, and the weeks rolled into months and the months into several years, but always thinking about the “Chishiki”.

It was such a miserable day, nonstop rain for a week with the ground around the dojo just turning into mud and slush, only 15 students training tonight it was going to be quiet.

Having just finished our first set of exercise the class fell silent as a young boy walked in, looking like he hadn`t eaten for months.

As each step he came closer to the front of the dojo so too did the rain stop falling and the sounds of a low humming noise filled the room, my name is James he said as he quietly moved forward and knelt in a mediating position on the floor.

You have been waiting for me for many years he said, but so many people were not ready, He closed his eyes as we stood there watching him draw energy from some unseen force that began to encircle him as soon as he knelt down
.
His clothes looked worn and slept in and sleep that probably had never been long enough to enjoy or encounter the slightest dream.

Finally he stood up smiled, clapped his hands slowly and turned to walk out, stop! I said what’s going on? Follow me, and we all walked outside one behind the other.

Was this the time? Did I not search hard enough, questions which would be answered as my foot hit the now dry mud outside
James pointed above us and to the south where a slightly glowing beam of light was heading toward the sky. He has arrived James said, you must find the other four “APSU” they will point to the” ONE”.
